"Bones" reflects on the concept of solidity. When we think of a bone, we think of a solid entity. And yet, within its microstructure, a dynamic world is teeming with life. This piece builds a bone like entity out of hundreds of thousands of particles, producing fuzzy edges that create ambiguous boundaries. Not only the structure is uncertain in its disposition, but the whole of it carries a rhythm within. Is that life itself, pulsating all throughout its structure? It is a recurrent theme in Ideami's work, the use of rhythmic tides that either move with or through the entities portrayed. It is another way to emphasize our connectedness with nature, the concept of transcending the illusion of separation that we hold in our high abstraction mental realms.
